The Rodd Miramichi River Hotel is in the centre of a four-season sporting paradise. In summer there is world-class fishing for Atlantic Salmon (in the interests of conservation it’s catch-and-release) and Largemouth Bass. In winter, we are New Brunswick’s premier hotel for snowmobiling enthusiasts, who can ride groomed trails right to our door. There are both on-site sled storage and drive-up units. A garage for fuel is steps away from the hotel.
There are numerous historical and natural points of interest, ranging from uniquely local facilities like the Atlantic Salmon Museum, Central Woodsmen’s Museum, Beaverbrook House, W.S Loggie House, Rankin House and Miramichi Salmon Conservation Centre to the Metepenagiag Heritage Park.
Coming for a family vacation? Play in the surf at Kouchibouguac National Park which boasts huge swaths of sandy beach and the warmest salt water north of Virginia. Or spend the day at Escuminac Beach, where there is fun for the whole family, from a children’s playground to beach volleyball!
Some other great activities to take advantage of when visiting Miramichi:
As always, if the weather doesn’t cooperate during your stay, you can always try throwing some strikes at Castle Bowling Centre or catch the latest Blockbuster at Cineplex Cinemas Miramichi.
We also have running, cycling and hiking trails starting at our doorstep for those who still want to get their daily run in while on vacation or for those who just want to get out and explore the great outdoors of Miramichi.
We are also conveniently located just a short drive to the below destinations and attractions:
When Maritimers meet, this question is almost as important as “what’s your name?” But if you don’t know the answer you’ll do whatever it takes to find out, even if it means inviting possible suspects to your Christmas party under false pretense. If ever there was a family holiday comedy, this is it.
