Some say fall is the best season for golfing. The summer heat has taken a break, the foliage is turning all sorts of warm colours, and there’s still a lot of daylight to enjoy it to the fullest. PEI might be the smallest province, but we have the most golf courses in Canada per capita.
When you stay at one of our two Island resorts, you have easy access to three of PEI’s finest golf courses:
The Links at Crowbush Cove
Dundarave Golf Course
We are pretty sure that when Anne of Green Gables said that she was glad she lived “in a world where there are Octobers,” she was inspired directly by the fall beauty on Prince Edward Island. There’s no better way to experience all this majestic scenery than to take the less travelled road – by that we mean the small, sometimes red-sanded, backroads on the Island. All the vibrant warm colours and the crispy season will inspire you just as it inspired our famous red-headed character.
And you can enjoy all the PEI colours while staying in our capital, Charlottetown. You can take the road east to see all the colours along our coastal views, or the road west to overlook the incredible fields and the Confederation bridge. You can also explore one of our many trails to enjoy it all on foot – we recommend the Confederation Trail or Bonshaw Hills Trail.
Start planning your getaway today with our specials and packages, and stay with us on either Rodd Royalty, conveniently located for taking the road in any direction of the Island, or at Rodd Charlottetown, a historic hotel downtown with a plus of offering breathtaking fall views from our rooftop.
Rodd Charlottetown Rooftop
There’s more than just lobster rolls and potatoes when it comes to PEI culinary, and fall is the best season to taste it all. The cozy, comfortable meals of autumn, the harvest goods, and the sophisticated work of our many local and international chefs make the Island a must for all the foodies out there.
It’s no wonder that during these months, the Island is busy with many culinary festivals and events.
PEI Shellfish Festival
When you stay with us, you can taste some of the most amazing PEI culinary without needing to leave the property. Join us at Chambers Restaurant at Rodd Charlottetown for an elegant experience, visit Club 19 at Rodd Brudenell and the Clubhouse on the Links at Rodd Crowbush for pub-style food and flavours, or experience culinary creations at David’s Restaurant, located at Rodd Crowbush.
Chowder at Club 19
Lobsters, beef, mussels, chowders, potatoes, craft beer and local wine, and delicious veggie options await you!
The drop in temperatures, the crisp autumn air, and the majestic nature and scenery in New Brunswick are said to be the perfect time to enjoy the province’s outdoor activities to the fullest. And New Brunswick has a lot to offer for those that simply can’t stay inside on a beautiful fall day. From amazing adventures to strolls through the many parks and trails, New Brunswick has it all to make fall your favourite season of the year.
Hopewell Rocks
Irishtown Nature Park
There are so many other parks and adventures waiting for you around the Acadian coast that one day just isn’t enough to see it all. Stay the night at one of our Rodd hotels in the province – Rodd Miramichi River and Rodd Moncton – to get ready for a whole day of new adventures. Our guest service agents can help you plan your adventure, and they also give great tips on where to eat, shop, and venture.
Check our packages and specials and don’t miss a memorable fall experience in New Brunswick.
No matter if you’re an expert or new to sport fishing – New Brunswick has many rivers, ponds and lakes stocked with a great variety of fish to cater to every level of expertise. During fall, fishing in the province’s waters becomes a spectacle; you can watch first-hand as the warm colours of the foliage come to life and experience the nature around you like never before.
Our hotel in Miramichi offers great views and easy access to the Miramichi River, which offers salmon, trout and striped bass in its waters. If you want to try something even more exciting, Miramichi offers a world-class fly-fishing experience so you can really connect to nature.
Fishing in Miramichi is allowed for both residents and non-residents, but we recommend you check the rules and conditions before venturing into the water. One day might not be enough to catch all the fish you want or to get that great Atlantic Salmon. Stay with us at Rodd Miramichi River and and spend a few days fishing!
If you think summer was full of activities, wait until you see how many festivals New Brunswick has prepared for you during fall! There’s a festival made for you, even if you’re more into laid-back art festivals in the city or are a fan of live music and energetic crowds. Here is just a small sample of what you can expect:
