Things To See & Do

Prince Edward Island is one of Canada’s most popular vacation destinations and is home to the birthplace of Confederation. The convenient downtown location of Rodd Charlottetown Hotel allows you to easily experience the Victorian charm of our city on foot and the rest of our Island with many day trips.

The City of Charlottetown is home to the Charlottetown Festival. Enjoy the Famous Mainstage Musical Production Anne of Green Gables — The Musical  or visit the home of Green Gables in Cavendish.

For the Golfers

Prince Edward Island is widely recognized as a golfer’s haven. There are over 25 courses on the Island with very reasonable green fees. The famous Links at Crowbush Cove is only 35 minutes from Rodd Charlottetown.

Salt Water Life

The famous white sand beaches of Prince Edward Island are easily accessible from Rodd Charlottetown. We would be happy to assist you with directions to any of our Island beaches such as Brackley, Dalvay, or Cavendish.

For the Whole Family!

Visiting with your family during the summer months? Shining Waters Family Fun Park, Sandspit Amusement Park and Burlington Amusement Park are must-visit amusement parks for those families looking to create some long-lasting summer fun memories. Don’t forget to stop by Cows Creamery for an ice cream cone before heading to the Brackley Drive-In to catch the latest movies on the big outdoor screen. Weather not cooperating during your stay – don’t let a little rain ruin your vacation.

There’s still a variety of activities to do and spots to visit that will keep you and your family dry: That Fun Place, Black Magic Indoor Blacklight Mini Golf, Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, The Alley Bowling, Off the Wallz Trampoline Park, and Red Rock Climbing Wall, just to name a few! (Bonus: some of these places are open year-round – so you can enjoy them no matter what month you visit!)

Culture & History

Are you a bit of a history buff? Do museums and historic sites intrigue you? Then you won’t want to miss visiting the following places on your next visit to PEI: Province House National Historic Site, Beaconsfield Historic House, Orwell Corner Historic Village, Elmira Railway Museum and Prince Edward Island Potato Museum.

From our many restaurants and breweries to festivals and events, like Fall Flavours and the PEI International Shellfish Festival – you won’t leave hungry!

And so much more!
